How to send orders to Kitchen monitor or printer – uniCenta POS

You can send an order to the kitchen by tapping on the "send to kitchen" icon. First you must enable that particular icon in Maintenance, Resources, Ticket.Buttons. You can then send to the kitchen anything on the sales screen.

Here’s how to find the settings.

This is the code where you can see on unicenta oPOS v3.50and later

<!– SET Remote Printer (Default=DISABLED) Not required for John L changes–>

    <!– <button key="button.sendorder" image="img.kit_print" code="script.SendOrder"/>  –>

We should change that to

<!– SET Remote Printer (Default=DISABLED) Not required for John L changes–>

    <!– <button key="button.sendorder" image="img.kit_print" code="script.SendOrder"/>  –>

If you are running uniCenta v3.91 and later, you don’t have to modify the code. Print to kitchen button is already there.

You can also send Attributes if you have added any attributes to any item. You will have to see a prior video on how to set up and use attributes. There is a trick you can use: you can create a "blank" attribute which will let you type in specific text. Be careful, though, because this same text also appears on the customer’s receipt.
